Coming to the end of our US trip… 48 hours to go!

We’ve done Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York, Philadelphia, Washington, Columbus, Nashville, Memphis, New Orleans, Dallas… and however many other smaller cities in between.

Drove over 5000k in the V8 hire car (rip the environment).

Saw a heap of the famous landmarks, most of which are totally overrated though Grand Canyon and Niagara are definitely not.

Been a blast, but ready for Australia again now please.

It’ll be 5 weeks by the time we leave. Looking forward to driving on the correct side of the road again.

        Brisbane, lol

It’s hard to go past the convenience of somewhere like NYC where you’ve got a dozen restaurants, takeaway, convenience stores, etc within a 10 minute walk from any point… But way too busy and crowded for me. Not to mention expensive!

Philadelphia and Columbus are probably the best looking cities. Or Washington DC. Just all super clean and the architecture is all aesthetically pleasing. They’re real quiet too, even peak hour is perfectly reasonable compared to most other majors.

Las Vegas, Memphis, Nashville, and New Orleans on the definite “no” list.

I’ve watched always sunny in philadelphia so many times it’s hard to imagine Philly as being super clean. But that’s super interesting. Thanks for sharing your experiences

Does anyone know of services where you can hire someone to be a personal assistant, organise repairs, bills, help with planning and general organising?

I am getting overwhelmed by things breaking right now and can’t deal with the stress of talking to another tradie who will lie through his teeth to sell me crap I don’t need.
