“Most of us were like ‘holy cow,’” said Beverly Cuyler, a long-time Boebert supporter. “And one of the big reasons for that is a gap between how she presented herself as a Christian and what ended up happening.”

Oh, now you’re clutching your pearls?

It’s an unusual tone for Boebert. The congresswoman’s unapologetic, Trumpian style had propelled her to MAGA stardom nationwide; now, she’s fighting for political survival at home.

If I remember correctly it was the leader of the MAGA party that said something to the effect of grab 'em by the pussy. I’d bet a tRump buck that she voted for the literal embodiment of the anti Christ from the bible.

For that reason and others, I don’t buy that these jamokes really cared in the first place. What are they gonna do now anyway, not vote for her? Let some child molester from the democrat party win? Psh, yeah right, and Jason Aldean isn’t truly a small-town good ol’ boy.

Why even bother with the fake apology?

At this point I honestly don’t think more than a quarter of the party actually know who represents them and just check any box with an R next to it.

99% of the time, I would agree with this.

But in this case, she was already in a lot of trouble before Beetlejuice. This is one of the rare cases where they really might vote for someone else. Might.

She only won by ~500 votes after a recount. But she’s got to win the primary first, which I suspect will still happen with these maga voters.

I would actually prefer that she wins the primary, then loses the general.

The district is normally R+ double digits. If she loses her primary, her district will likely overwhelmingly vote for whoever the R candidate is. If she wins her primary, there’s a very real chance the seat turns blue for at least the next couple of years.

Is there anyone in her district who is less qualified and more insane than she is, who could win the primary? Either way, agreed.

I’m honestly not sure if “Less qualified than Lauren Boebert” and “More Insane than Lauren Boebert” are lows that can simultaneously be accomplished by a functioning human being. I mean seriously, how low do you have to get to be an incredibly (physically) attractive Republican woman, running in an R+20 district that has MAGA basically injected directly into their veins, and still be so bad that some of them not only decided to vote for a filthy liberal Democrat last time, but may very well do so again.

That is a spectacular level of fail. You almost have to intentionally try to fail that hard.
