I’ve legitimately been so mad that I dreamed up a whole “Perfect Mayhem” style scenario where a gang of us just go around town at like 3AM and smash the fuck out of every pump in town with ads.
Stencil that reads: “This pump plays un-mutable ads”
And a can of spray paint.
All that is necessary is to provide the information to people pulling up to the pump. Before they even get out of their car, they can decide whether to just drive on.
No biggie. Just helping out with the transparency, so people know what they’re getting.
Perhaps even better would be a law that pumps showing ads must be clearly labeled as pumps that show ads. Get the government to do all the spray painting for us.
