The newly-appointed executive director of the North Dakota Republican Party is officially on the outs early into his position after it was discovered that
I don’t understand how anyone reasonable would think it’s somehow good that he “stands by his words”. He’s essentially confirming he’s a bigot, racist, and general waste of oxygen. Hopefully the “free market” can figure out what he does for a living and make his life suffer as much as he wants others to suffer.
I just don’t agree with that. I will never agree with racism but there are plenty of racists who learned to do better and I don’t think they got there because people decided they weren’t human because they were flawed.
Acknowledging that his flawed views are unacceptable to the masses shows the first inklings of self awareness, much more than most racists. Let’s nurture that and help him become a better person which will raise all of us up.
Quite to the contrary, I grew up in the inner city of Baltimore and my entire family is extremely, horribly racist. I am no contact with most of them, books and the Internet gave me a better path out of that ignorance.
It is a little refreshing compared to blanket denial and insisting the “true” racists are the people who call him out. Or crocodile tears and insisting “that’s not who I am”.

You had to view books and internet for that?
There were no people in inner-city Baltimore expressing views antagonistic to racism?
I’m just going to block you and move on with my day now.
That’s the exact response you often get off those with extreme views, as well.
You’re quite pathetic.
“I’d rather be racist than stay in office” isn’t doing better.
Being better is not being racist.
You should see his voters, then you’ll understand.
I guess I should have put the word “reasonable” in all caps for emphasis.
