Ok let’s do a classic here. What pedals do you most regret getting rid of or selling and why?

For me:

  • Catalinbread Echorec. I love multi tap delays and while I was able to get close to emulating this on my DD-500 it’s just not the same. The way the delays blend into each other and create this wash of reverb is sublime. Probably going to buy it again soon.
  • Boss DS-2 Turbo Distortion. It wasn’t that different from my DS-1 but damn I wish I still had it. Whenever I play my DS-1 now it’s just too harsh.

I had the black one a long time ago. I don’t regret getting rid of it because it had no power input and the jacks were reversed but man did that thing tear.

I miss the t-Rex mudhoney I borrowed my “friend”. I should pick up another one.

Boss DC3 Digital Dimension. I havent found a chorus yet that did what it does. I bought it for $120, sold it for $150 when I needed some money, and now I’m looking at TWICE that if I want to get another one.

I also used to own a Les Lius clone built by Mark Hammer. I bought it off of the man himself at a guitar show, and had no idea who he was. He was jus this really cool dude in overalls with a table full of pedals for really reasonable prices. I ended up selling it when I bought a Mesa/Boogie MkIII as it had all the gain I could use.

I still have an envelope filter and Harmonic Energizer clone made by him, but should have held onto that Les Lius clone one too.

I took apart a Boss DS-1 for an electronics project I did in school 20 years ago. I know they are easily obtainable but I’d really like it back!
