If you think that you have a group of friends who are so perfect that they never ever say anything discriminatory about anyone or anything, I would predict that your group of friends has zero members in it.
It’s quite unreasonable to expect humans to be perfect, especially when we’re talking about a difficult issue like race, where we have a lot of stereotypes in our head from growing up in whatever community, and then we have to learn to be better. And even then, we can still accidentally say something incorrect.
