Hi I have in my home 1 Gbps speed provider, I have a PC wired by fiber and if I make a speed test with one of the many internet pages I do get the 1Gbps (arround 950-980Mbps). The issue is I have also a Wifi access point wired also by fiber, so I guess the access point should be feed with 1Gbps. My problem is when I make a speed test in my Phone or iPad, connected by Wifi, even only cm away from the access point and full Wifi signal I only get around 50-70 Mbps. Is this OK?. Yes I know with the wired connection I get much more speed, with fiber even more, but is it normal this massive difference with Wifi compared to wired??, maybe the capacity for a phone or iPad device is much lower than a computer?. The access point is a TP-Link TL-WA1201, I know there are better ones but I guess is a normal one that should work ok.

Sorry yes, I have plastic fiber (pof) to a switch/converter and from there by normal wiring to the PC and the AP that are in the same room. I know the AP is getting the 1Gbps because the PC is getting them also.
