I was originally going to get a Dell Poweredge 1950 but I saw that those things are pretty old, so I have decided to get a Dell Poweredge R710 instead. The seller I am purchasing it is selling it for $70 USD but with no ram. I found some good ram for it which is $40 USD. Should I get this server? All I’m running is a file server and game server and do not care about noise.

    Just get an optiplex, almost no one on here actually needs server/rack hardware.

      I had my rack before I had my cluster of TinyMiniMicro’s. I’ve ran enterprise hardware for years, but not anymore. But a rack is convenient, because my Synology is rackmount too :)
