The election itself being horse shit was a really early part of my radicalization at age 9 or so, but aside from his reputation as being incredibly boring during the Clinton years, doing some appearances on Futurama and seeming to care about global warming, I don’t know much about the dude, oh and he invented the internet of course. Are we still getting a war on terror? I don’t really see Iraq getting invaded in this timeline. I dunno. Guess away!
Cause it was October I watched the 96 election tree house of horror segment on the Simpsons on a run through the good ones of those. It’s such a weird watch in retrospect. The "don’t blame me, I voted for Kodos’ line slaps with the force of Master Hand from Smash, but daaaaang the details of where the both parties are the same idea. Clinton and Dole decide to abandon party politics and build a better nation together before being spaced by Homer. Obviously the Harvard libs wrote the joke how you’d suspect. As someone who is an absolute oaf who wants them both dead, Homer is the hero in this moment to me. I was 5 in 96 and live in a different country. However this does lead to another timeline…what if Dole won in 96 and again in 2000 and was president during 9/11?
