How many times have you heard some politician or press member state that “Palestinians don’t support Hamas” over the last month? Probably more times than one can count, but is that true? That’s a question that is answered by a new poll out of Gaza and the West Bank, and the results are both shocking and deeply disturbing.

So what does this tell us? It tells us that the Western idea that those in Gaza and the West Bank are just liberal-minded adults longing for a secular utopia is incredibly naive. Call it brainwashing and victimhood, but the fact remains that well over a super-majority, including 87 percent of the West Bank, openly support Hamas and the group’s brutal terrorism.

What do you do with that? How do you make peace with that? The unfortunate answer is that you can’t. This is the reality of Israel merely existing, and the only response understood is force.

An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind. I suppose we should all just expect to be murdered in vegeance sooner or later.

That isn’t what eye for an eye means.

Eye for an eye is about limiting a response. It’s one of the most misunderstood quotes.

It doesn’t mean you have to take an eye. It means you can’t take more than what was taken. It’s the opposite of how most people use the term. It’s to limit teenage.

Oh. So, Israel’s disproportionate response worse than making the whole world blind. Cool cool cool.

          Disproportionate?

Palestinians massacred 1000+ people, raped women, murdered children.

Frankly, had they bombed the shit out of Palestine I wouldn’t consider it disproportionate. I commend their restraint, it’s been much more Christian than mine would be.

One of Hamas’ stated goals are to eradicate all Jews. And Hamas is the ruling power in Palestine.

They’ve made it very clear what they intend. Fuck Hamas, fuck Palestine.

So, if the ruling power of Israel stated something similar about Palestine and Palestinians prior to October 7, then would Hamas be within their rights to wage war on Israel?

Just want to make sure we agree on the logic of justified violence before I spend two seconds finding that evidence.

It means you can’t take more than what was taken.

Therefore Isreal killing 10 civilians for every one of theirs killed is in violation of this rule? Let’s see if you can answer this without a whataboutism this time.
