A technician came to my house recently and suggested that I might get better TV and networking performance if I have my house re-cabled from coax to Ethernet. FWIW, the current coax wiring in the house was installed in 2010. What I wondered was, if the cabling coming into the house from outside with the Internet and TV signal is on coax, what benefits (if any) would I get from switching to Ethernet inside the house? If anyone has tried this and has any insights or results to share, I would very much appreciate it. Thanks very much!

    This is the way.

Ripping out coax and replacing with cat6 will be time consuming and costly. + if that coax is stapled down good luck yanking it out.
