Hello!

Through work I was granted access to an HPE ProLiant DL360 Gen10 server to lab with, but I am struggling with configuring the iLO 5-port.

I have done thorough Googling and trying to find relevant information, but it feels like I am missing some kind of puzzle piece.

It is connected to the local office switch. The VMware ESXi-interface has its own IP-address assigned through DHCP and is working. I have been given my own vLAN (since it is sitting on company network) which the VMs are sitting on and they are working.

I have reset the iLO configuration to its default factory settings, set a custom Administrator password and an static IP-address. I have tried different browsers, found and tried the iLO Integrated Remote Console (no bueno), different static IP-adresses (eg. 1; 192.168.0.202, 255.255.255.0, 192.168.0.1. 2; 172.31.13.202, 255.255.255.0, 172.31.13.202. 3; 10.10.10.12, 255.255.255.0, 10.10.10.1.) Pinging times out. I have also tried enable DHCP, but it just says that IP-address is “Not available”.

It has its own dedicated iLO-port on the backside, Network Interface Adapter is set to “On”. I have also tried using fixed LOM and the vLAN which was given to me.

Do you guys have any idea what I might’ve missed?

Could the Ilo have died? Was it known working before you took over the system? It’s rare but any tech can fail.

Do you have activity on the interface?
