I know this is a different Browns team than I’ve ever seen in my lifetime when we’re causing other teams to break down. Usually it’s a headline like:

“Mohamed Massaquoi and Jake Delhomme got into a ‘heated’ argument following a 37-3 beatdown by the Steelers.”

Tomlin is the only thing keeping these crazy locker rooms winning. Personality management on the field is one of the best. Go ahead and replace him see how that turns out.

One of the most popular teams in the league. The league will ride the Cowboys Steelers 9ers Patriots news for better or worse til the end of time.

ESPN doesn’t invest in content or quality shows anymore to discuss actual sports instead of manufactured drama and hot takes and realized gambling is the best way to squeeze profits out of sports fans.

Everything about this team screams 4-13. And then you watch them play and they look like a 2-15 team. And then they end the season 10-7

The Tomlin effect. He does not get the credit he deserves being able to manage and keep the team upright. It’s hilarious hearing Steeler fans wanting him fired, Tomlin would have 15 head coach offers before he left the parking lot.

Great coach but his glaring weakness is hiring assistants. His hiring decisions have been like 90% of the issue in the Steelers underperforming over the years.

This is obviously going to get me downvoted and I genuinely love Tomlin, but what never gets discussed is that he has just as much responsibility as anyone for the team that looks like a 2-15 team. Yes, he pulls all his teams above .500 every year but also should hold some responsibility for never reaching that next level and constantly looking outmatched.

There’s a ton of nuance that I don’t have time to dive into and I agree more than half the teams would be happy to have him but sometimes that doesn’t necessarily mean that he’s 100% perfect where he is at right now. But obviously the players love him and he brings stability to an org that loves stability so that goes a long way.

          never reaching that next level

Oh my memory is probably wrong, that was coher in 08 and 10

“There’s a ton of nuance I don’t have time to dive into”

Like how you can Tomlin and the organization credit for stability but pretend there’s no correlation between long term stability and success?

Of all the reasons to not like Tomlin

        Trying 28.

He would be on the first flight to any place in the league.

I would 4 or 5 teams would trade their HC for the stability of Tomlin.

        Those fans are a disgrace.

If they got their way, Pitt would have a new OC/HC every year that they don’t win a Super Bowl.

It’s clear that the locker room was suffering as a result of Canada being there. Tomlin single-handedly saved the locker room from complete peril
