That was an entertaining match. Ange is probably going to cop criticism but it’s not his fault his players couldn’t finish. Another day and they could’ve easily had 6 goals.

Not a single spurs fan is blaming Ange for this loss. The tactic was good but the players just arent good enough

Exactly this. Other fans and rivals want to tell us how to feel about our manager. They are desperate for us to be upset, but we can see we are heading in the right direction. Just need to not have 10 players out injured/suspended and we might have half a chance!

Don’t worry Spurs, in times like these you may borrow a phrase which has given us strength on many a cold point-less night: next year is our year!

I mean we said that at the start, and then got our hopes up, and then injuries brought us to our knees like we expected if any injuries occurred. And now here we are

Unai Emery has Aston Villa in 4th. What a fucking madman. Give this prodigy a team with Villa in it’s name and he will work miracles.

I know it’s hypothetical, but I reckon Spurs win that if Bentancur didn’t need to go off.

Luiz was class and Villa just cut through the mid on the counter as soon as he went off.

Yeah we really regress whenever Hojbjerg has to play as our 6, he’s not a bad player but he’s like the antithesis of an Angeball player lol.

Ange learning that you can’t stick to one plan the entire season

    This ain’t the SPL

If you actually watched the match you would know this loss was not down to Ange’s tactics. His plan had Spurs dominating for the majority of the match. The Spurs attackers did not finish their chances. This loss was down to execution by the players. Villa’s goals were from a set piece header and a normal possession-based attack, not by getting in behind a high defensive line.

We looked good though? Just a difference in finishing and actually having a single CB on the pitch

The amount of Spurs fans wishing Matty Cash serious injury and even cancer in their sub is disturbing but not surprising. Just spent 10 minutes reporting 30+ accounts for threatening violence. 1 ban already came through, hopefully many more.

He’s a dirty player that has injured a number of players. Of course he’s hated.

The cancer thing is beyond childish but I don’t think redditors have that ability.

Especially when it was such a nothing tackle. He was late and it was a foul but hardly malicious.

Our injury/suspended list would finish 3rd in the PL.

Of just the starting XI we’re missing Romero, Vandeven, Bissouma, Sarr, Bentancur, Maddison, and Richarlison.

But it’s also hurting our depth. Sessegnon, Peresic, Solomon all out as well.

Despite all that, we were incredibly unlucky. Hit the post, missed at least two, maybe three, fantastic chances.

Why are Spurs fans acting like they’re the only ones with injured and suspended players? Last season Chelsea had like 11-12 players who could make the first team squad out for months due to injury and United this season. They were laughing when it happened to others. But it doesn’t feel nice when it happens to you, does it?

And I’m sure during that time a lot of Chelsea fans were annoyed with the situation. I think any neutral would acknowledge spurs’ injury and suspension situation as a major hurdle to winning games so seems a very normal thing to complain about and I don’t see where anyone is saying other teams don’t have injury issues

Yep. No sympathy for them, esp not this season with all the injuries happening across the league.

Spurs fans are crying about injuries as if Villa haven’t had their fair share of injuries this season. The difference is our players learnt to adjust to the manager’s tactics.
