I have recently switched from Frontier to T-Mobile Home Internet and have seen a drastic increase in download and upload speed. I’ve been reading that T-Mobile Home Internet isn’t too gamer friendly and I have no clue how routers work lol. If I purchase a gaming router and only my pc and consoles are connected to the router will it help improve my connection and latency with online gaming? Currently getting about 100ms latency and experiencing frequent lag spikes

Unless the T-Mobile Router is utter trash, adding a device to your network rarely reduces latency.

What else are you running on your network when you get these latency events?

That’s the nature of wireless. Latency depends on many more factors and can vary a ton. If you depend on stable ping, t mobile may not be the best.
