TV: what have you been watching? Binged a great series that we should all see? Been to see anything at the pictures?
Tunes: what’s your current earworm?
Whenever I have twenty minutes or more, I’ve been slowly working through Agents of Shield. Nearing the end of series three. Why are there so many episodes? Pretty decent, I am enjoying it for the most part.
The past couple of days was Black Mirror for me. The shift from sci-fi to horror a bit dissappinting for me but still worth the watch.
King Kruel was in live session for 6 music and covered Dean Martin’s My Rifle, My Pony and Me which was pretty great and has stuck in my mind.
My wife and I are currently rewatching all of The Good Fight, which is still my favourite thing ever on the telly. We’re also rewatching Ranganation, which totally got us through lockdown.
Tunes wise, I’m working through the 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die using https://1001albumsgenerator.com/ - today I’ve got If I Could Only Remember My Name by David Crosby which, if I’m honest, is not doing it for me.
Oh wow, it just dawned on me that I haven’t had a TV set in over a decade. Can’t say I’ve missed it though, there’s plenty to watch online :)
I’ve been going through James May’s Oh Cook on Amazon Prime Videro. The bit where he read through one star reviews of his previous series was really funny. He’s just having a go, awesome stuff!
We have a TV at home but the aerial crapped out last year. I live in Australia so there was no point getting it fixed. Currently watching lots of BBC/Ch4.
James May’s Oh Cook
We’re watching this too, its really good.
Sometimes I’ll get stuck in listening to a single album for a month or more, and nothing else. Currently I’m stuck listening to Underworlds Beaucoup Fish. Such a great album.
Currently trying to finish off Clone Wars still. I’ve got a few days left of Disney subscription and everyone says it’s “a great show.” Found it to be pretty average, except for the last two and a bit seasons which have some amazing episodes.
Rewatching The Guyver on Crunchyroll.
As a teen in the 90s, the original series released by Manga Video were watched and rewatched an obscene number of times.
The adult me knows the new series is definitely nuch better, but the bit of my brain that is forever a teenager honestly misses the metal theme tune, stupid amounts of blood and violence, and insanely frantic pacing of the original…
I’ve been binging "Bloodywood"s debut album. A colleague went to the Download festival and recommended them to me.
If a fusion of heavy metal and Indian folk is something you might be into give then a go. Honestly, heavy metal flute solos was a hole in my soul I never knew I had.
Sadly, I think the band is ten years too late, I could see their nonesense doing well on old YouTube over anime clips.
