Biotech company 23andMe first disclosed a data breach affecting a portion of its customers back in October. The information was obtained in a credential stuffing attack. An SEC filing now reveals roughly 14,000 accounts were accessed, along with information on millions of users participating in the DNA Relatives feature.

Yep. I did their test like 5 years ago and after the major hack (or breach or whatever) recently I requested that they delete my info
In this case, just change your DNA and you’ll be fine, lol! 23andme and other DNA ancestry businesses seem like a good idea, but like you said, it only takes the weakest link in their security to be exploited to gain the most intimate information about oneself.
