    Kind of. Nobody actually ran out of gas, but prices went through the roof.

    For industry, this made some production unprofitable and forced them to shut down, and drove prices up. Households either had to pay a lot more, or if they couldn’t afford to, had to cut back severely on heating and/or other things.

    As a tenant you usually get your bill yearly, so I do not know yet how high it will be. But prices decreased drastically on the market and are on pre war level for some time know. Our economy minister Habeck made sure to buy looooads of LNG from other friendly countries like Katar etc. However there is usually a time lag between market prices and end consumer prices. It may be some hundred euros more for the last year, for me personally it is not an issue.
