and the other communities don’t steal banners from reddit:)

Still can’t figure out if it would be a good thing or a bad thing to post the same threads in both of them😭 I love the idea of federation, but I’m still at the stage where it’s all really confusing…

Thanks for this:) You might wanna check the local kbin links - swap the "c"s in the addresses for "m"s and they should be good

Wait a minute, those do have "m"s in them. Am I going mad? Or actually maybe you left this comment before I edited it this morning and for some reason it’s just notified me now. Yay federation things lol.

(also it wouldn’t let me post this reply without selecting a language, deffo something funky going on in this thread!)

Hey; the feddit.uk one got deleted as the owner purged his account :/
From what I can tell, this one is currently the most active community and has most subscribers, but I’d think it might make sense to subscribe to both to just also get the content if posted there :)

Huh, you’re right it looks like they’ve deleted the feddit.uk one. I wonder why!

The Kbin one is definitely not empty but you might just be the first subscriber from your instance and it’s not great at pulling in old posts. New ones will show up though. Not that there’s a whole lot going on there either atm in July!

I just subscribed, hope to see something there soon. On my search for Eurovision I saw plenty of communities but most showed only one user, but maybe being at Lemmy.world limits the number of users I see in communities elsewhere? Hmm I guess I’ll subscribe them all then 😅

It’ll show the subscriber count from your instance, rather than the total. Don’t ask me why!

Also hello I totally recognise your name from Eurovision Mastodon 😄

Ahah I guess next year I’ll bother my Mastodon followers a bit less and focus on Eurovision Lemmy instead 😅
