    Honestly it just makes the case for abolishing local policing in favor of a national policing service, at least then they won’t have the excuses of split jurisdictions when they fuck up or want to hop precincts to escape accountability.

      Or just regulate it.

      A doctor needs a license because people’s health are in their hands. And losing a license in one state doesn’t mean you can just move to the next state and your a doctor again.

      With the amount of lives bad cops ruin or even end, it’s insane we basically let anyone be a cop if the existing cops think it’s ok.

      There needs to be an outside agency that vets these idiots, otherwise the “bad apples” at the top just keep hiring more bad apples.

      I don’t see how this would fix the problem as agencies like the FBI, ICE, CBP, and ATF also commit rights violations and other atrocities on the public. Furthermore, it’s impossible to sue federal officers for misconduct, unlike state and local police. This just seems like a way to have even less accountability when compared to a local police force controlled by local politicians.
