Assuming any of that is true, it’s been going on for four years?! And now it’s being brought up again? Talk about an agenda…

In any case, the Snopes article clearly says they’re acceptable forms of I.D.:

Snopes reached out to Johnson’s office, which sent us an exchange between Rep. Lance Gooden, R-Texas, and the TSA in which the latter shared a detailed document listing permissible items of identification: “… in coordination with Department of Homeland Security (DHS) counterparts, TSA established a process where it will accept certain DHS-issued forms for non-citizens and non-U.S. nationals who do not otherwise have acceptable forms of ID for presentation at security checkpoints.”

In a list on page 3, the TSA acknowledges the following forms are acceptable at checkpoints:

    Then a list of forms…

It sounds like they are acceptable forms of ID, in direct contradiction to both the Washington Examiner and Breitbart.

So, you tell me which is inaccurate since you provided contradictory evidence.

So if we have paperwork, and are identifying them already, why the fuck aren’t they being deported?

Democrats don’t want to deport. They should be shipped right out of the country.

The issue is that wouldn’t work for a citizen or anyone else.

I’m not so sure about that…

If a citizen, for whatever reason, had one of the forms, it’s pretty clear they’d be able to fly like any migrant. If, however, the citizen identified themselves with, say, a driver’s license, then…they wouldn’t have the DHS-issued form for non-citizens because they don’t need and they’d still be able to fly.

Really, it seems like someone is trying to create a problem where no problem exists.

A citizen could never have one of those forms.

Not all drivers licenses can be used anymore. It has a be a real id.

The issue is we are allowing illegal immigrants to travel unidentified using planes. That isn’t a privilege afforded to anyone else.

I fly on a regular basis. Not a lot but 2-3 times a month. I have to present my passport plus I have to do a security background check.

We could be flying cartel members around the nation with no documents required.

Except they have approved documents from the DHS that identify them. That is the entire point of the documentation they are required to carry.

And a US citizen wouldn’t need those documents because they’re not migrants.

I feel like there’s an unstated value judgement that I can’t quite identify here. What’s really the issue here? That they shouldn’t be transported?

The issue is different standards. We are talking about airline safety. After 9/11 we created stricter standards and they’re being ignored for illegal migrants.

I suspect it’s it’s the new because a bill has been sponsored to stop this behavior. Also since tsa Air Marshall’s are being diverted. It doesn’t make sense to increase the risk.
