Today’s my last day before the big move. I’ve barely packed at all, and there’s still about a dozen other things I want to do before I move onwards and hopefully upwards ig
I’m not taking any furniture so that helps a bit, but when I was going through my shelves I was spending way too much time being sentimental on small knick knacks and trinkets I’ve received over the years, so that doesn’t help
I’m also slightly stressed about the logistics of moving day. All my boxes will fit in one trip, but I don’t think my computer chair will fit with anything else. On top of that, I’m not sure I really trust a cardboard box with scrunched up newspapers to keep my PC and monitors safe, so I’ll probably want to hold those, but I’m also not an octopus so I can’t hold it all. Then when I get there at midday, I’ve got to build my bed, go grocery shopping, and if I have any energy leftover maybe build my desk and a bedside table
(Ok, it’s only assembling, but tbf some of those flat pack furnitures are so complicated and difficult, I think taking some wood and actually building from scratch wouldn’t be too much harder)
One day at a time. Do your bed, take two trips. We all spend ages on feeling senitmental when packing up our stuff. It’s a good exercise. Yeah flat pack furnitue always takes longer than expected I find.

Wrap your monitors in blankets or clothes if you’re going to put them in a box. Regards, ex removalist.

Good luck mate! When I was younger moving was all a bit of an adventure. The older I get the more it seems to suck
