To stop illegal aliens, not “migrants”.

Migrants are in the US legally, there’s no reason (or impetus) to stop them.

And for all you downvoters, cry me a river. You don’t like me calling them “illegal aliens”? Too fucking bad. They violate the US border, they’re here illegally, they’re aliens, so “illegal aliens”, not “migrants”.

Now go ahead and call me names… It’s all you have when you don’t have a real argument. Name calling is the bastion of children and sophists, so we’ll all know who you are and what you’re about.

Here’s the thing, I have friends in the trades and in farming who’ve worked with migrants for decades, I’ve helped many with their documentation to ensure they’re here legally, won’t get into trouble, and can come back to work next season. Guess what - they are frustrated by illegal aliens because it makes life harder for them.

There’s a legal process. Follow it, or you’re here illegally, will be arrested and deported.

And the companies employing them deserve massive fines - I’m thinking $100k per infraction. Fuck em.

There is no state crime called illegal immigration.

This came up previously and I believe the courts said no, immigration is the jurisdiction of the feds.

The new Texas measure is so controversial, in part, because US courts have previously ruled that only the federal government can enforce immigration laws.

I suspect the courts will stop this but I support this.

Seems to me the state has the authority to arrest someone who’s in the US illegally.
