I’ve got my domain set up and Wordpress installed. I’ve got my YouTube channel created and branded. Now I just need to:

  • find a good first video (they’re in 1-minute chunks, so I’ll have to figure out how to join them (maybe in YouTube itself?))
  • sign up for http://ilicensemusic.com/ so there’s something pleasant to listen to on the videos
  • make intro and ending branding/credits

I think that’s it.

I sorted it out, it seems. YouTube did try to have a Copyright claim on the video. I submitted a dispute since I paid for a license for the music.

I used the OpenShot Video Editor to put multiple clips in one video, add the overlays, and add the music. It was very easy to use, and it’s free and open source.

The dispute was rejected. I then did an appeal and included a direct link to a pdf with my license. After the 7 day waiting period, there was no response, so the claim was removed.

Time to make and upload more videos.

I know now to include the license in the dispute. There was no place to upload a file, nor mention of showing your license.
