It’s super weird to think about now. But I remember that being me while growing up. No one really acknowledged the fact that those in my “group” were being separated from our friends.
It was super interesting though because there were always a few people from the other group that would crossover and make friends between groups. Those were the types of people everyone liked, but I’m seriously noticing this same pattern again and I fucking hate it.
It’s so so so fucked. That’s why I seldom go outside (lmao and almost typed this out in response to the copypasta post before realizing it was a copypasta)
Yeah. Might be funny in a weird manner, but I was the only one who “chased” during tag along with a girl that was severely autistic for sure. It’s like they clocked me as autistic even that early (7yo) based purely on vibes. And that probably always happens except with other ND people who don’t really notice my weirdness that much
Damn, yeah definitely resonates. To this day, I still think separating people based on “vibes” was problematic (and know for sure it caused trauma) but I also went to a private school.
It was like the principle was there, but the ostensibly ND group was treated pretty damn poorly in comparison
Yeah. Shit like this makes me pretty doomer about us ever being able to participate in a majority neurotypical society even in a socialist one, but we have to hope
Yeah the older I get and the more my autism starts to show itself, I’m starting to think that’s the case
