Holy fuck its just crypto fags wanking each other off saying how good bitcoin is and that “its the future!!” I love the idea of a tip system like zaps, and would love to see something like that in Lemmy. But holy fuck the obsession with it is INSANE!!! I’ve only spent a few days there and I already want out. Don’t go to nostr right now, its all bots and crypto.
I would just take a break and come back in like a year. I’ve found a good couple accounts that don’t talk about bitcoin and follow those.
There really is no moderation tools as of yet. People in the future should be able to just blanket ignore all crypto conversations. The global all feed is just a mess. We need to have relays dedicated to specific topics and a option to browse relay groups, plus community support will help a bunch.
Yeah man, I really cannot stand it there… Bitcoin/crypto is cool but like it is literally all people talk about there.
