“we defeat candidates at the polls”

Yeah, but not at the Electoral College, which Republicans have been 10x more effective of weaponizing than Democrats.

This whole mentality of playing by the rules against a team that’s openly bragging about cheating when the stakes are this high are exactly why the Democrats have gotten their ass kicked for years against a party that’s literally less popular in every way.

also, removing candidates who attempt to overthrow the government is within the rules.
      trump isn’t a “candidate”

it’s the same thing, you twat.
              the same fucking thing.
trump called for his crowd to stop the peaceful transfer of power… they did
he lied about the vote being stolen, he defrauded the whole country… he attempted to get georgia state officials to lie.
These other states don’t need a conviction to consider the mountains of public evidence available… trump actually said he intends to be a dictator. He actually said those words directly… and multiple times…
im not a biden fan, the democrats and republicans have both been full of shit for as long as i can remember.
but if you would consider voting for someone that declares they plan to be a dictator, well then you’re in the wrong country…

Legally, it’s not the same thing.

                1. Trump has not been found guilty of “insurrection.”

                2. No one participating in the events of January 6 was convicted of “insurrection.”

                3. Trump was never accused of “insurrection.”

                4. No one involved in the January 6 events was accused of “insurrection.”

                5. Trump was exonerated in the second impeachment trial, which concerned the events of January 6.

                6. Section 3 of the 14th Amendment does not apply to the President according to settled doctrine.

no one has been charged with insurrection YET.

Give it a few years, the justice system moves slowly but forgets very little.

Notice it’s only ever “let the people decide” when they think it’ll benefit them. When the people decided in multiple states to enshrine abortion rights into law, suddenly they start changing rules and talking about national bans.

Besides, I thought the elections were rigged? Good luck on voter turnout this time around.
