Yeah, student loans are a fucking shitshow. I’ve already paid more thank what the loans were for but still I owe $15,000. It was supposed to be forgiven but we got fucked over, again. Thanks GOP!
If the new program Biden admin is trying to get through doesn’t just get struck down by the Supreme Court from republicans suing, again, it sounds like you’d be in a situation where you might be able to benefit. It’s unfortunately more narrowly tailored than the first one (to try and give it a chance to get past the court this time), but paying more than what you originally owed is one of the situations listed.

I 100% expect to continue getting fucked over, but here’s to hoping these assholes stop being assholes.
Just remember that the CATO institute backed two separate lawsuits against student debt relief.
Like they give a shit.
The servicer is paid to be helpful. It’s not like someone can switch servicer.
Pay what they demand or risk your credit getting fucked you stupid serf.
And it gets ruined. Stand your ground. What you aren’t going to be able to buy a house anyway and you can buy cars in cash. They don’t have the resources to take you to court.
They don’t have to. They’ll just garnish your wages.
Buy cars with cash? Having 20k in cash to drop on a car isn’t something your average student loan holder is going to experience.
And the loan services most certainly have the resources to take you to court. They will garnish your wages. Seize your tax refunds. These are boiler plate actions for these guys.
Do you even have student loan debt?
Don’t buy a new car with cash buy a used one. And no most of the student loan services people can’t afford to actually go to court. They know it is a pointless threat. Could easily cost them a gramd or more for a court battle.
20k doesn’t get you a new car.
That grand it costs them is added to your balance.
You clearly do not carry any student debt.
Your advice is no more useful than someone suggesting those who have student loans consume less avocado toast.
Never said 20k gets you a new car
Adding legal fees to student loan debt is nest impossible
I have student loan debt
Your advice is to be a chicken shit coward
