    It’s not actually that hard. My first time filing taxes I had to do a 1099 because I worked a gig-style job as a teenager.

      The hardest part is knowing what you can deduct, and most people don’t keep good receipts so at the end of the year there’s tons of things that could be deducted but they can’t prove the expense so 🤷‍♂️

      I hate our tax system too but it can be worked

        If the government automated everything then we wouldn’t be able to deduct nearly as much stuff. There are tradeoffs for every system.
