I saw a tweet with a pie chart but I couldn’t find it so I had to google. Student loan debt totals $1.74 trillion and is held by about 43.5 million Americans, with the average monthly payment amounting to $337. -– The administration has forgiven $136.6 billion for more than 3.7 million student loan borrowers in the first three years of Biden’s presidency. If my math is right that’s ~13% of the loans have been forgiven for ~8.5% of the people with loans.
