It was recently revealed that Stellar Blade, the upcoming post-apocalyptic saucy slasher, was given Korea’s most mature rating by the Game Management Committee. It’s yet to be rated by the likes of PEGI or the ESRB, but it’s assumed that it’ll receive 18+ and Mature ratings in those markets, too.
So, likely no different than most violent games?
I could do without the weeb libido behind the character display, but the game itself looks pretty cool.
Agreed. The game looks pretty sick, but I hope you can get some like cool armor for the main character or something.
Nudity aside*, the combat looks like it has potential. It’s hard to tell purely from trailers without hands on, but at least they show it and it looks reasonably fluid.
*I have no issue with it, but I’m not buying a game for it.
I’m really hoping it’s another fast-paced slasher like Nier/DMC. Or even that it might do something new with the genre.
I care about the visual aesthetic but there I’m already sold. The sexy/not sexy, nude/non-nude question doesn’t bias me against or for a piece of media. Here the enemies, environments and animation that I’ve seen have all been impressive.
Oh yeah, I like the look. The enemies look good.
I’m just not interested in buying a game unless I like the actual mechanics. Anything else is secondary (animations count as mechanics for anything real time to me). Nice world building and characters are a good value add, but if combat isn’t satisfying it can’t rescue a game for me.
If this game is to Nier as Lies of P is to Dark Souls, I’m here for it.
That’s not surprising. If you take this Nier Automata comparison again, that game was Pegi 18 as well. So could be usk 16 for me again
