These people confuse the hell out of me. Is this a cult without a leader, and they’ve been sucked in? That does make some sense because they clearly believe they have secret knowledge and are special for knowing, which is very culty. Or are they all just extremely out of touch with the way the world works? Probably a bit of both but that still just doesnt quite add up for me.

Obviously they hate the US government because they don’t want to be bound by its laws and customs, but they also think there’s some secret America that has all these little loopholes built in for people to use so they can still have all the benefits. Why the hell would any government, which they don’t trust, allow such things to continue? It’s somehow both deeply insane and incredibly stupid

Basically a very loosely grouped cult. They have some “gurus” of the movement such as David Lester Straight and Malika Dulce, but no real leader. Just a bunch of lunatics misleading each other on the Internet. Somehow this ideology has endured for decades despite never working ever.

I’m tempted to start selling meaningless certificates as sovcit catnip. I bet they don’t even question why I only take USD

    Letter from Specialty Response Dept.

Seems like working there would get the award for the most interesting horrible job.

I wonder how many times it takes for shit like this to blow up in their faces and they end up living in an unregistered van down by the river before they realize it doesn’t work.

I think so. When I was 16 and bought my first car I didn’t have enough cash left over to register it so me and a buddy decided to push it home to avoid “driving” without registration. We got stopped by the cops who told us it didn’t matter if it was running or not… if it was on a public road it had to be registered.

Mind you, this was in Canada so I don’t know if that’s the case everywhere.
