The only thing I’m liberal with is the word genocide, but yes, if famine is caused due to intentional, calculated policies and aimed against a specific people like the great leap forward or the Irish potato famine, than it may be considered genocide.

I cannot make proper sense of what you’re trying to say. That’s ok though, my communication skills aren’t the best either. Which is apparent from the fact that you seem to think that I am somehow defending China’s foreign policies and discarding America’s genocides.

So, let me explain in more concrete terms.

China has been fighting the Taiwanese, the Ughurs, the Tibetans and whatnot in some of the most inhumane ways possible. They are generally considered masters of genocide. One of histories biggest genocides, the great leap forward, was commited on their own people. I’m not entirely sure if you can really call it a “genocide” but the numbers are what matters. 40 to 70 million deaths.

Now this same China basically says that what Israel is doing to Palestine is bad. They’re giving palestine’s fight to defend themselves legitimacy. In this case I think that’s the highest form of legitimacy you can get. It’s basically the worst genocidal maniac telling you that the genocide on your people is wrong. You might explain this as a pot and kettle story, maybe it’s more “Israel bad” and less “palestine good”, but this is how I explained it.

America on the other hand is not speaking up for Palestine, so it’s of no use to compare their trigger happiness to Israel right now eventhough the comparisons are easily made.

And by the way, I’m tend to be more for China these days than for the USA, but there’s a lot of nuance either way.

Wow this is the first time I’m hearing about this. Can you tell me more?

Funny how they say “masters of genocide” like they don’t live in a nation that’s part of a geopolitical group that has killed billions and has actually engaged in many genocides throughout History.

Pretty much. Most if not all of the Anglo-settler colonies (US, Canada, Australia for sure) are literally ongoing scenes of crimes against humanity in this regard, with millions of skeletons in their closets each.

absolute bullshit lmao, don’t even bother. Tibet has been freed by Mao, Uyghur genocide is literally propaganda (the CIA admitted it was all a lie to destabilize China) and the Taiwanese? They haven’t even messed with Taiwan (or should I say US-occupied China) and I’m also pretty sure most Taiwanese have a neutral to positive opinion about the PRC.

Wow, I never heard of the great leap forward before. Do you have a source for the 40 to 70 million deaths?

aaah too bad they got banned

Technical issues… I deleted it, changed my mind, but it didn’t seem to undelete to me. Apparently it did though.
