Tea, actually
I think that’s not quite right, but it’s certainly an interesting take.
At my old work (a trucking company) we had a photo in the cafeteria that a colleague made in Africa during their holiday there. The picture shows a truck with our company’s logo still vaguely but unmistakingly visible on the door panels somewhere in rural Africa, Morocco I think. I think that’s pretty awesome.

Ok guys, we can close this thread now. Good work everyone.
I work every other sunday at my old job. My new job is 40 hours. Pay is mediocre, so barely enough to sustain a family. Wife can’t work due to medical reasons. So the extra money is needed. Also it’s 200% on sundays, so those 2 days (18-20 hours) are worth about €250/month, which makes it worth it imho. I wouldn’t do it for less. They’ve asked my for saturdays, but that’s only 5 hours, for 150%, at 4 in the morning (instead of 2 in the afternoon on sunday). I don’t do saturdays anymore.
Also, it’s my old job. I need to drive a truck and unload at the usual places. I could do it blindfolded if it wasn’t illegal to drive a truck blindfolded. Funny thing is, I really hated the job the last year before I changed careers. Now I actually enjoy it, because it’s my “podcast and audiobook time”.
However, if I could afford to quit it, I would.
The retirement plan goes for rich countries too. But different. With elder care going the way it’s going, you’d be happy to get someone to help you shower once per month. Children can help you with a lot once you’re old and fragile.
Because its orthopedic surgeon. Orthopedic is just the branch, it basically means “medicine dealing with the bone”. But it literally mean “straightening children”. It’s best not to talk about the literal meaning
What’s wrong with British, mate?!
No, what you mean is that computers should be made more idiot proof. The user can’t help being an idiot, the competent IT geniuses who make the computers should guard against every eventuality. That’s why we have smartphones and tablets now. They’re computers for normies.
I had that exact same plan. I was already streets ahead
I’ve tried llama3, the 8b version. It just made a joke about the famous song “stop” by the beatles. It’s on the 1969 album “let it be” and it contains the line “”\ Stop you don’t know what it’s like / Being on your own…"
I might invest in some better hardware and try the 27b version haha XD
It’s really just download and install. Just follow the instruction on the website. And check the readme on githun for how to use it.
If you want aa nice looking webinterface, instead of a commandline interface, you can also download one of the many ready to use frontends. You can find them in the github readme.
I installed it yesterday and the cli is pretty slow (on windows), but the rest api is pretty quick.
These days you can’t even get cigarettes at the supermarket or gas station anymore. At least in my country.
