What happens if a president doesn’t uphold the Constitution? Normally, I would assume Congress would oust him? Or supreme court? But if Congress or the supreme court are all fanatics of the president, who’s left? Can the army overthrow him?
Under the SCOTUS ruling about ballot eligibility for Trump, they ruled that even though the constitution says he’s barred and the courts found he did attempt an insurrection, he can only be prevented from appearing on the ballot if an act of Congress prevents him from appearing. (Which is fucking stupid, because it means that the constitution is not self-enforcing.)
But that also means that Musk can run for vice-president, unless a specific law regarding citizenship has been passed. Or age for that matter.
Heck, Musk or even Greta Thunberg could run for U.S. president under that contorted ruling!
He can’t. Musk wasn’t born in the US.
Well, you also can’t stay president if you lost the election. None of the rule of law shit applies to him, that’s for the poors.
We’re still doing the constitution thing?
