How is this even possible in 2024? I realize Rochester isn’t exactly a major metropolis, but we’re in the middle of town! It’s not like they’re relying on Hughesnet or something.

Also, it’s not that they’re cheaping out on us either. The owners live upstairs. This is a duplex.

i’m entitled to what i pay for, and i really would like to know how you could possibly argue anyone isn’t, or that they aren’t entitled to complain when they don’t get what they pay for.

and why, precisely, do you believe that when one person fails in their obligation to provide the service for which they were paid to provide, they shouldn’t face consequences for the fraud they perpetrated?

You must be a complete and utter prick at restaurants. I don’t wish any service worker you as a guest.

why would i be? restaurants are some of the best places for service. it’s pretty simple to write down an order, coo it, and bring it to you. and since i don’t eat fast food, i don’t have to deal with service workers who get stuff wrong because they hate their job. Plus, forgetting a side of sauce or something is hardly as egregious as ruining a holiday with unusable internet, which is nearly as bad as not having power or running water.

plus, i tip well, so servers remember me. and i know better than to screw with people who touch my food.

edit: i do really enjoy the fact that you’re imagining all sorts of horrible scenarios featuring me. i hope that keeps you up tonight. serves you right ;)
