    That’s because most states don’t do maintenance and just request emergency funds when the neglect piles up.

      …and thats because federal funding for infrastructure has gone away over the last 50 years… Circle of life

        And that’s because we like to spend our money on the military *edit: I just made that up and have no raw data to back it up. It feels true though!

        Federal funding doesn’t decrease. There’s more money being spent on infrastructure than ever.

          Probably not when you adjust for inflation.

          DEFINITELY not when you account for all the money that goes into the pockets of corrupt politicians and their friends without ever being used on maintaining or improving infrastructure.
