    I will never understand what people think is threatening about men in dresses. I find it funny.

      Some men, not all of them but some, that cry foul when men do effeminize themselves, are insecure in their sexuality. Maybe they’re gay, maybe they’re bisexual. Maybe they’re idiots and they’re worried about accidentally being seduced by a man in a dress. Regardless, the reason you always see that it’s men concerned about this is because women are much less stigmatized for homosexual behavior, and don’t have the same fears, or at least not at the same level.

        It’s also just sexism. Women are seen as having less worth than men so by that logic doing anything feminine as a man is debasing yourself. And non straight, cis culture is seen as subverting what they believe as the natural hierarchy of men on top.

      They did it in Elizabethan England! The trans agenda (because there’s no difference between drag and being trans, you see) goes far, far back apparently.

      Because they think that a man wearing a woman’s clothes is an inherently sexual act. Also grooming, or something.
