Many U.S. weapons are already positioned in stores across Europe that could be pulled immediately for Ukraine, the first official said. Some materiel could reach Ukraine in days; others may take weeks.

Hope this isn’t too little too late. That it’s taken this long to even send anything out is a goddamn travesty, that’s even assuming that this House vote passes and Republicans don’t sink it.

I’m hoping it’s fine given how many supplies have been coming from European partners as of late.

Better late than never. Even if it reaches a point that Ukraine can’t win, the costlier it would be to force Ukraine to surrender then the better Ukraine’s chances in negotiations are

We should have passed this in 2023 and be working on the next phase of funding. We are cleared to send them jets now which would use up a chunk of that cash which is needed for missiles and shells.

Congress has a page set up to contact your senators – obviously, they don’t read them individually or anything, but their staff as I understand it totals up what’s coming in and presents them with a summary of how people feel about things.

I sent, without a lot of expectation that it’ll make a difference, a note to both of my senators asking them not to provide aid to Israel and concisely explaining why (since the Israel bill and Ukraine bill are separate from each other.)

You should send them physical mail. It takes a lot more effort and it’s something older people are likely to do, i.e likely voters, so they treat it more seriously.

If this passes, and Biden wins (which means dems win the house and the senate has enough proukrane Republicans to pass stuff), they will be armed until 2026. At the present rate, Russia will surpass 1 million troop losses before the 2026 midterm elections.

While the Ukrainians are the ones who keep dying I believe the US it’s good about sending more weapons.
