      The Steel Bridge in Portland, OR, USA, not too creative naming but this is what it was called when it was the first of Portland’s many bridges over the Willamette River in 1888. The bridge was rebuilt in 1912 and still stands today.

      It surprised me that a train can derail on that bridge when the speed limit is 10mph (16km/h), but it was on the curved approach of the bridge and right before the guard rails begin that are designed to help prevent derailments.
