I love weed but my personal problem with it is the overeating. I get the munchies so hard i always eat way too much. I want to lose weight but it feels almost impossible while smoking weed. And tips or tricks against it?

I’m reading this as I eat banana bread over the sink, after smoking a bowl. I commiserate, and I hope to hear good advice too.

You could prepare healthy snacks before (!) smoking.

    some inspiration:

    -vegetable sticks with hummus/guacamole

    -fruits (frozen grapes are awesome)

    -roasted chickpeas

-popcorn (without drenching it in butter)

Drink a bunch of cold water when you smoke, and try to keep yourself busy.

I also try to avoid eating too much while stoned since it becomes a hassle to manage taking insulin for everything, and those two things work well for me.

Some strains make me hungrier, and usually indica makes me have munchies more than sativa, not always though, lol.

Jolly ranchers are my go to. Not a health food by any means, but they last so long it keeps my calorie consumption way down.

Sometimes it’s just inevitable to eat your ass off. I like to have fresh vegetables and fruit ready and available. You can eat a ton of that and be nice and full without blowing through 2000 calories.

Look for something with a lot of Humulene. Humulene suppresses appetite and can counteract the munchies. I have a live resin cart with a bunch of Humulene that works for me. I also have an occasional customer who is older and will forget to eat if she has too much Humulene.

Thanks for the pro tip. I found my munchies vary a lot depending on the strain, so maybe this is the reason.

I have the same problem, I tend to eat a ton of food when I have the munchies. The key for me is to not buy junk, and to only have healthier things in the house for when I get those uncontrollable munchies. Also, increasing my daily fiber intake has done wonders for appetite control and keeping me full throughout the day. Staying active will also help offset any over-eating from munchies, of course.

I keep the unhealthy junk food to a minimum in the apartment. But more it’s that I don’t get munchies anymore. Now I smoke to ignore hunger (I’m aware that’s bad too lol)

I just try to be active enough to outweigh it. I’ve seen… limited success.
