        I mean, it takes a long time for most humans to get hands right when learning to draw people as well. Hands are complicated; lots of bones for a comparatively small area and really complex joint structure.

        Because we live in a society that treats thinness as the default and the ideal, so people only bother to train the AI to produce thin people. Plus size people are an afterthought in society and in AI.

        It’s default bias. The same reason why if I say “imagine a person”, most people imagine a white male.
