a Washington Post survey of state election officials found Kennedy is not on the ballot in several states where he has claimed he is — and he will not reach the requirement by Thursday’s deadline to qualify for the debate

    It’s a super simple requirement:

Be on the ballot in enough states to get 270 electoral college votes.

You must be this tall to ride this ride.

As of June 3rd, Kennedy is on the ballot in 8 states. CA (54), DE (3), HI (4), MI (15), OK (7), SC (9), TX (40), UT (6).

138 potential EC votes, 132 short of what he needs.

He’s waiting on signature certification in 13 more. AK, FL, ID, IA, MN, NE, NH, NJ, NY, NC, OH, TN, WA.

160 potential votes. So if NY or FL say his signatures aren’t valid, that would be enough to bounce him out of contention.

He can automatically be a write in candidate in 6. AL, OR, PA, RI, VT, WY.

He disqualified himself in NV by having enough signatures, but failing to list a VP candidate.

That’s really the kind of organizational skillset that’ll get things done. /s

Even with their fear-mongering and everything I will never understand why the right keeps electing the kind of people who refuse to show any level of qualification. Like ok, you hate taxes and think that corporations should have the right to poison your waterways, but why are you electing the blatant liars and fraudsters who can’t even seem to put their pants on the right way ‘round? At least go for someone who seems to have some level of skill.

Oh, right, people with skill are less and less likely to actually ascribe to those broken ideologies. Maybe that should be a sign.

Any news on what Trump put down for his VP candidate? I didn’t know that was a requirement this early.

Wonder how much more pro-Trump PAC/dark money pours in to try and save him last minute. Trump’s supporters are literally paying for his campaign to run interference in November by drawing enough from Biden to eek out a win (or close enough to start another resurrection that goes all the way this time because Republicans will open the doors).

That may backfire as RFK is an unhinged anti-vaxxer and conspiracy theorist, which the right are more attracted to these days.
