I have over a thousand hours in this game and I don’t think I have ever had a bisexual pawn. Sexuality traits are too damn rare, it’s unrealistic.
Yeah, one needs a mod to fix that, which right now is IIRC Way Better Romance which moves sexuality traits into an extra trait slot so they don’t compete with normal traits, adds ace and aro permutations of the existing sexuality traits, and gives you sliders in the mod settings to control the distribution.
That used to be the case, but the ace, gay, and bisexual traits were incorporated into the base game code in 1.3 and stopped taking up a trait slot as of 1.4 I think. I don’t know if you need a mod to control the frequency though, but I know you can just hard set the trait in the scenario settings when you start a run.
If I recall correctly the dev is a chud. Might explain it.
Iirc hes not really a chud, but he doubled down on a stupid “but thats what the data says!” argument about men (gay or not) being much more likely to hit on people than women. It’s dumb, it’s a stupid argument from his side, but in the grand scheme of things it could be far worse.
I might’ve missed something though, but thats all i know of
Game equating sexiality to mental illness?
I’m pretty sure something like this is caused by a mod, with a mental break giving you a random trait.
And traits in rimworld aren’t just mental illness. some of them are “hard worker” or “undergrounder”
…
Would recommend the mod that keeps colonists from repeatedly trying to bang people who aren’t interested.
But that’s just less realistic
