If the law allows them to vote then so be it.

1,000 isn’t going to fix poverty though.

I posted this because the elected officials are fighting it.

    Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott’s administration, which launched a guaranteed income pilot program targeting young single parents in 2022, said in a statement that he’s “supportive of the proposed amendment’s objectives” even though he wants it off the ballot.

    Seems like an argument over process more than actual legislation.

      That is why I put it as a topic of conversation.

      It isn’t overly partisan, but it is interesting to see the elected officials complain that people want to vote on something.

      I would like to see more things voted on to avoid the stupid gridlock we see at times. I support abortion rights but the GOP has taken a hard stance. Every time it went to vote, people, including Republicans, have voted for abortion rights.
