The complete hopelessness of Alien3 is fantastic. The worst of humanity. A run down facility with nothing that works. No help from the outside until -spoiler-.

Alien3 looks like an industrial music video. And I quite like the score.

      (I love this movie)

I never really understood all the hate for it. So what, they refreshed the cast aside from Ripley. The way they did it also was also completely believable to me. >!I wouldn’t have expected a 10y/o girl to have aged 6 years in cryo sleep either. With human curiosity and corporate greed, wanting to preserve the xenomorphs by any means necessary was also an obvious eventuality to me!<

Killing off the main characters off screen I’m the first minute of the movie probably wasn’t the best decision.

I honestly hated Aliens. I watched Alien and loved it to death, the sound, environment, tension were all really cool. Crew Members felt like people, Ripley felt real, and I liked how it didn’t focus on Ripley from the beginning and just let the story build itself.

Aliens was just a bunch of headstrong generic idiots along with other stupid action tropes. There was nothing about it I found redeeming beyond the antiquity of practical effects. But that seems to be a minority opinion because people really love Aliens and Alien 3 etc. I just felt annoyed and dissatisfied with the 2nd movie.

Aliens was when I realized how perfect James Cameron is with sound. Got to see a film reel in a real theatre about five years ago and it was awesome.
