Dang, NZ a very strong rowing nation. Two races now (a men’s single heat and women’s double semi-final) where they’ve come first.
50 strokes per minute towards the end of the men’s 4 sweep rowing. That is so impressive.
But what I want to know is, how do they even communicate among themselves that they’re all capable of upping their cadence?
The grimaces on the faces of the single scullers look absolutely painful!
Then you get the interview afterwards and they say how much fun they had! That said, I go to the gym, lift something scary and heavy (for me) and it nearly kills me and I’m like,‘yeah that was great’. So I guess we aren’t so different.
Honestly I get it. I have the muscles of a wet lettuce, but I love running. The feeling in your body after completing a hard run is hard to describe.
But it definitely is after. Only a minute or so after; it doesn’t take long. But the feeling is great.
BMX. This is what skateboarding should be! Some really impressive tricks (to a layperson) that they *gasp* actually land!
And the commentary is so much better, doing a good job in the short time I’ve been watching of showing where they messed up and why it’s bad for them, so I have some context to understand what’s going on. This is great.
