It’s sadly a sign that in the UK the only way to not have the police stomp all over you is to engage in violent protest. Having so few police there is criminal in itself, compared to vigils for a woman murdered by a serving policeman.

The best thing the police can do from now is to meet force with force. Stop letting people fuck up cities, mark many right-wing establishments/groups as terrorist, and put them all in prison.
