Which government is gonna require something like this.

Which government has “political” will for this?

We are enslaved by the corpos who are allied with government to do this. I am down to lobby but my point above was more about what people should be doing themselves since the state won’t do shit for us.

Yeah that’s fair, I was of the mind of the hope that we the people could possibly shift things in our direction.

The biggest hurdle in all of this is that everything is set up in a way that the most affordable and convenient options are often the worst as far as privacy, Amazon being the biggest example, groceries being another. It takes an extraordinary amount of diligence (and let’s be real, income) to be able to side skirt corporate dominance in the goods market. Services like utilities and often house are pretty much fucked unless you can manage to move somewhere more off the grid.

I agree, 60-80% of our spending is locked in. Hence my sentiment above.

However, markets where there is choice, people need to be aggressive to deny rent seekers profits.

Example, streaming! Piracy is a good one!

Going out for food out, luxury.

If you got means, pay for privacy.

If price for item goes up, look for substitute.

So you really need all these clothes.

        Etc
