Visitors would be charged an additional levy on top of their hotel bill to stay in the city if plans are approved.

    I’m all for paying local economies more to visit them, but the one thing I don’t like about that is that it eventually pushes tourism up the stack so only wealthier people can afford it. The downside is I have no clue how you’d reasonably fix that.
